Event Details Kamyar Arsani :: Music in the Library

Sixteen

Fringe Music in the Library continues with Kamyar Arsani. A multi-instrumentalist Sufi singer-songwriter from Iran, Kamyar has played the “Daf,” an Iranian frame drum, since he was 11.

He also learned Kamancheh with Master Ardeshir Kamkar and Sohrab Pournazeri and self-taught himself guitars and drums.

Originally from Iran, he now resides in Washington DC where he teaches “Daf,” in addition to being the singer of the band Time is Fire.
