Fringe’s mission of providing space and opportunities for artists has only been expanding since the purchase of the Logan Fringe Arts Space in 2014. The battle to sustain space for independent art and artists has always been a battle - now more than ever. We are not filled with blind hope for the future—we own our future—and are resolved to building and improving the services we offer to the independent art scene here in DC.
We are committed to hustling and creating space and opportunities for local independent art in our nation’s capital, we hope you will join us.
If you are willing and able to support our work with a monetary contribution, please do so by clicking HERE or send directly to us at 1358 Florida Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002.
Capital Fringe has been the ideal venue for us as a startup theater company in D.C. They work with us as partners in mounting and promoting our shows, offering advice and flexibility and relating to us in a friendly way. The Fringe ethos makes for vibrant and exciting programming, but it also makes Fringe itself an organization that serves as an incubator for new works, new companies, independent artists and all those who need an artistic home and are on the outskirts of the city’s theatrical establishment. Perisphere Theater hopes to work with them for many years to come. - Heather Benjamin, Artistic Director
Don’t miss Perisphere’s upcoming production of Tartuffe at the Logan Fringe Arts Space January 25–February 4, 2018. A farce from the 17th century, Tartuffe employs witty rhyming couplets and classic characters in a sendup of society’s hypocrisies and privileges. Equally resonant for today’s audiences, the play shows the con man Tartuffe taking over a household right under the patriarch’s nose—unless reason prevails and the family can expose him.
