| GETTING AROUND THE FESTIVAL | |
| Almost all of the performances are located in the District of Columbia. When you come downtown for the Fringe, be sure to also take in the neighborhood and nightlife. Eat dinner, have drinks, shop and take in all that downtown DC has to offer. Sometimes the best show at a Fringe is watching the world go by. Fringe productions are broken up into two categories: |

| FRINGE RUN VENUES Fringe Run Venue Participants applied to be a part of our venues between October and December 2006. During the months of January and February the Fringe Programming Committee programmed the over 100 groups into our venues. We use venues from established theatres to vacant spaces. Capital Fringe contracts with the venue and makes it performance ready while the participant, in turn, is given space and time to produce their work. | FIND YOUR OWN VENUES Find Your Own Venue participants applied to be a part of the Fringe between October 2006 and April 2007. They pay Capital Fringe a marketing and box office fee and produce their show completely on their own. You will be happy to find that many of the Find Your Own venues are close together to make it easy to catch more than one performance. |
